 I’m a Kid Foundation was founded by Cipriana and Chris Bovill; Cipriana being an alopecia patient of thirty years and having grown up with torment, ridicule, and teasing for being different. The couple strives to improve the lives of children with hair loss and at the same time increase the public's awareness of children with hair loss.
Created as a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, the foundation supports children with hair loss, their families and loved ones.
I’m a Kid Foundation understands that hair loss of any kind is a major life altering disorder and can empathize with how traumatic the disease can affect the spirit of the children who suffer from it. Losing your hair suddenly is a very distressing experience, especially for a young child, and although a child may not have hair, they are still a child and need to feel “normal” and loved. |
